We are seeking applications from qualified & experienced candidates to be considered for the opening of Procurement Manager. This opening is to join our Corporate operations team and the successful candidate will be closely working with our British & CBSE curriculum network of schools.

The Procurement Manager is primarily responsible for developing, leading and executing procurement strategies. He is entrusted for tracking and reporting key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness. Crafting negotiation strategies and closing deals with optimal terms. Execution of day-to-day purchase activities across group schools, cost, quality, safety and customer service while leading the schools in continuous improvement steps to meet a sustainable competitive advantage in the markets.

  • Be responsible for procurement of all purchases, especially on annual timely supply of books, uniforms & stationery to group affiliated schools. Ensure all school procurement requirements are completed and all items are delivered to school stores on time as per the SLA.
  • Price negotiation with vendors/suppliers including delivery and other commercial terms.
  • Oversee negotiations to ensure execution of purchaseorders or vendor contracts as needed to support the critical business needs.
  • Introduce effective and proactive liaison with all functions within organization to enable feedback, supply forecasting, process change and quality of supply.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with Suppliers to generate effective material substitution strategies and gather market intelligence.
  • To manage procurement staff, internal customers and suppliers in a coherent and effective manner.
  • Maintain stock variance reports of each group school stores by conducting periodic stock audits.
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking to estimate product costs. Assess, manage and mitigate risks.
  • Solving problems related to procurement processes logistics and tenders.
  • Maintain and manage stock data and requisition in school ERP for immediate management tracking.
  • Vendor selections, audits, maintaining relations with approved suppliers to ensure procurement of highquality goodsservices expedient delivery and dependable service at optimum price.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate/post graduates with specialization in Purchase/logistics Management preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in Procurement & Purchase in a managerial/executive role.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Proper planning, excellent time management and knowledge of the education suppliers are essential qualities.
  • Impeccable communication skills and managing tight deadlines.
  • Integrity and positive attitude.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages; Experience of working in ERP would be an added advantage.
