We are seeking a dynamic and vibrant instructional leader to lead our newly opening British Curriculum school towards excellence! We believe achieving excellence is a challenging journey. The Elementary School Principal is expected to provide overall leadership to the school - Pedagogically, administratively as well as positioning the school as an innovative 21st Century learning environment.

The Elementary school Principal serves as the administrative and instructional leader of the school, responsible for managing the policies, regulations, and procedures to ensure that all students are supervised in a safe learning environment in compliance to the KHDA framework. He/She assumes full responsibilities for all aspects of the school including implementation of the instructional program, school developmental plans, SEF, curriculum development, extracurricular activities, discipline system, emergency procedures, and facilities operation, school/community relations, business affairs and the utilization and development of staff and faculty.

  • Create and promote a learning environment that prepares, challenges and inspires all students to reach their potential.
  • Oversee and ensure the school’s commitment to quality education and its continued  improvement with a focus on students’ outcomes.
  • Drive enrichment and having exposure in implementation of IGCSE curriculum requirements and related assessment and certification requirements in all phases.
  • Ensure that the school is compliant with MOE/KHDA regulations, education bye laws, board policies and requirements.
  • Ensure the vision and mission stated in the academic plan and proper allocation of work load.
  • Supervise the instructional programs of the school, evaluating lesson plans and observing classes to encourage the use of a variety of instructional strategies and materials consistent with research on learning, child pedagogy and development.
  • Organize and supervise procedures for identifying and addressing special needs of students physical & emotional needs.
  • Supervise in a fair and consistent manner effective discipline and attendance systems with high standards, consistent with the philosophy,values, and mission of the school.
  • Display the highest ethical and professional behavior and standards when working with students, parents and school personnel.
  • Exert leadership in the development of professional development programs for all staff members.
  • Serve as a role model for students & teachers, demonstrating the importance and relevance of learning, accepting responsibility, and demonstrating pride as an educator.
  • To effectively utilize and maintain facilities in order to provide an appropriate learning environment and reasonable health and safety considerations for students and staff.
  • To recognize the exceptional efforts of the staff and student body.
  • To initiate and support an organization of parents to support all school programs.
  • Protect confidentiality of records and information gained as part of exercising professional duties and use discretion in sharing such information within legal confines.
  • Make decisions and approach issues in an informed manner that demonstrates the ability to be resourceful and purposeful.
  • He/ She must have a passion to adapt to the latest changes taking place in the field of school education and demonstrate excellence in execution.

Desired Qualifications: 

Master Degree in Education / leadership/school management /Related Field

Having worked as Principal or Vice-principal for minimum of 3-5 years.

Experience in UAE will be an added advantage.

Native English Speaker preferred.

Proven track record in leadership and pedagogic excellence will be a key differentiator.

Experience of leading a relatively young school in its growth years will be an added advantage.
